Sara's bridal shower! So lucky for all of us!

Veggie and Fruit pizzas were both beautiful and delicious, and surprisingly not that hard to make!  Especially with the help of the beautiful and adorable Maid of Honor!

Our lovely toilet paper brides - a fun and entertaining bridal shower game!

Special lifelong friend with Sara as they open champagne to toast the bride to be!

And a good time was had by all!  No photos yet of the Bachelorette party that took place that evening, as us oldies weren't invited!  But we know it was good as the girls were all pretty pooped on Sunday morning for our Mother's Day lunch.  :)

Return to Cranbrook not so happy :( - But off to Calgary to see our girls!! :)

Slight mishap, likely due to too much on the brain, and too little brain power - ha!
Poor Car!

We've switched vehicles now and heading to Calgary for Sara's wedding shower and for a chance to catch up to Sara, Katie and their special guys!

This is one of Vic's and my favourite lakes between Calgary and Cranbrook - really cold, but gorgeous!

And one of my favourite mountain views, the Crowsnest.

And a lazy bunch of mountain goats along the side of the highway.

And here we are at Sara and Jean's place for one of their fabulous dinners!  Yum as always. :)

And not wanting to outstay our welcome, off to Katie and Sam's new place for the next 2 days!

Wonderful kids all of them, not that we're biased or anything!!

Hope you're having a super spring!!

Hugs,  Debbie & Vic :)

From Seattle via Vernon back to Cranbrook

So the drive from Seattle back to Vernon reminded us of why we like to winter in Mexico!  Winter driving conditions seem to be far hazardous to the health than anything we've run into down south yeat -ha!
This was going through the mountain passes between Seattle and Vernon.  Only one slight misplacement on the way, thanks to a crazy GPS that was taking us out into the middle of nowhere, but we corrected in time to make it to Stew and Eleanor Green's place for a marvelous supper (with amazing host and hostess) - thanks again guys!

And while it's snowy and treacherous it can certainly be quite beautiful too!

Back at Mom and Dad's adorable condo in Vernon, we enjoyed a lovely visit and some great games of cards!  Of course, they both try to cheat, and even swear at each other regularly - tut tut - ha!

While in Vernon Vic and I went for a few runs, and even PJ was willing to join us for part of them, especially if we walked more than ran - she is 10 you know - so 70 in dog years!  She's getting up there.

Heading from there back to Cranbrook reminded us once again of why we love Canada, with its amazing lakes and mountains.  These are just a few of the amazing sites we saw along the way!

We even saw the Canadian Rocky Mountaineer, a passenger train that takes you through some of Canada's most amazing scenery in what I understand is the lap of luxury!

Three Valley Gap with its unique ghost town

And back in Cranbrook for another short stay.  Thanks so much to JoEllen and Dave (again) for lending us their lovely bright home while they were off in Vancouver visiting their boy!  :)

Seattle, our boy, and my parents

We had a wonderful weekend visiting with Daniel in his brand new home in Bellevue, Washington!

While he's been living there for 2 years now, he and his roommate just purchased it themselves and the deal closed on the afternoon we arrived!

We took the boys out for supper to celebrate their purchase, and had a magnificent meal in Bellevue, Washington at Maggiano's Italian Restaurant, a family style restaurant where you buy one meal and get another to take home.

The area the guys live in is lovely, and with the humidity and warmth, the flowers are already up and beautiful!

Vic, PJ, Dan and I even got to go for a run on the Sunday morning, after which time we went to the airport to pick up Grandma and Papa Marchand.

We all had a great visit on the Sunday, and then we headed off to bring Mom and Dad to Vernon after their winter in Florida.

See you later!  :)
