Meanwhile back at the ranch! :)

So look, we almost have a functioning bathroom!! Okay, the toilet's not installed yet, but it's getting there!

And our lovely sink and talavera tile in our outside (poolside) bathroom

And work continues on the inside bathroom - the glass block wall is done and the tile inside the shower is getting installed!

Tile with the blocks cut out for the shampoo/soap holder

Shower tile with the cenefa (border) tiles we found at Home Depot in Merida.

And check out the kitchen counter (this side) with the bar on the other side, and you can see the center shelf of tile below here too.

Looking at that same counter from the living/dining room side

And thanks to the pumper guy (who we learned also rents port-a-potties) we now finally have a washroom for the guy to use!  Don't know where they have been going, don't want to know. Ha!

And our new bodega  - storage shed, (almost big enough for a mini cooper), okay maybe not but will fit our 4 bicycles which once we have doors installed we can bring over from the condo!

The spare room has now become the storage room as all of the tiles, and other fixtures have been transfered over to there so the crew can begin work on the master bedroom.

Here is the now vacant master bedroom, awaiting destruction - must knock it down (almost) to build it back up.  Some days I think it would likely have been easier, and possibly cheaper, to have knocked the whole thing down and started over!

And my poor garden :( where I had to move and repot several of my plants) They have started the second field for the septic.

And one sunny Sunday, Vic and I actually set up an umbrella and enjoyed a little time by our own pool, relaxing in the shade :)

So yes, there is a life outside of the construction zone! And the sun shines a lot! Lots of progress every week.
