Steps

Our team is starting on the kitchen and here I am after they've poured both shelves. The wood framing for the concrete can be seen.

The bathroom begins - the plumbing readied for toilet, sink and shower

The cutout for our kitchen sink! Blocks are used for supports fr the counters as well as temporarily to support the concrete shelves.

Some days feel like we're moving ahead 2 and back one, but it's getting there!
5 weeks to d day (God willing!) Pool and back wall.

Garden with lights in the late afternoon

We had to have the garden dug up to install a second phase to our septic.  You can see the cement round tube being inserted into the ground to about 6 feet deep.  How it is inserted is the worker places the cylinder where he wants it and digs the sand out of the inside while he stands in it.  The cylinder after a while starts to sink as the sand falls in to the hole.  Then a second cylinder is placed on top to add more weight and it is dug out some more.  Eventually the worker dissapears from sight and the 1 meter around by 2.5 to 3 meters deep cylinder is down to the water table.  The worker then climbs out. The 3 meter long shovel helps.

Bags of sand ready to be removed.

Deb has begun making weeping tile/tubes to run the water around her garden when it rains.

The bathroom by the pool at nite

The concrete form for the counter in the bathroom.

The first of the tiles on the walls in the bano.

The first tiles in the kitchen, a staggered pattern.

The laundry area with hook ups (there are a few blocks in the way which won't be there) only thing missing is the gas hook up now.
